[Durham INC] Updated version of WHC Quick facts Document

Even though the planning staff did not find errors in the original version
of WHH's "Quick Facts" document when we discussed it with them last week,
yesterday they informed us that there were errors.  They also restated their
belief that the initiative may slow the rate of change of housing costs.
Even though I do not believe this will be true, I have modified the document
to reflect that it is the staff's position.

 

The errors they noted fell in the lots size section.  For certain zones, I
had confused lot width requirements and the proposed changes.  This version
corrects those mistakes.  The mistakes were mine and I apologize for them.

 

The staff also informed us that they are considering more effective in-fill
standards, changes to the small lots/small houses proposals, and changes to
flag lot rules (to allow only one flag lot behind the street-facing lot). At
present I do not know the details of the changes under consideration or
whether they will work their way into the staff's final proposal.
