Preservation Durham's annual home tour is an important part of Preservation Durham's mission -- to protect Durham's historic assets through action, advocacy, and education. 

The tour enables Preservation Durham to showcase homes that have been lovingly maintained or rehabilitated, with the hope of inspiring all of Durham's residents to place a high value on stewardship of our shared architectural heritage and the story it can tell.

Tour goers will also pick up a tour booklet at the start location which includes a map, house addresses, and house summaries to the houses they will drive to.

Tickets are $10.00 for students, $25.00 at the door or the day of the event.

Redlining was a practice banks, insurance companies and other institutions used to limit access to mortgages, insurance, etc. to people in certain neighborhoods, effectively separating neighborhoods by race and ethnicity. Though now illegal, the impacts of redlining continue to live on today.
