2019 Golden Leaf Award Winners Honored
Community Awards Recognize Best Contributions to Durham's Appearance

DURHAM, N.C. - Last week, a total of 10 projects were honored<https://durhamnc.gov/ArchiveCenter/ViewFile/Item/4336> for excellence in design and preservation of their properties at the 2019 Golden Leaf Awards.

Sponsored by the Durham City-County Appearance Commission and Keep Durham Beautiful, Inc., Golden Leaf Awards were given to properties to honor their excellence in design, preservation, and stewardship of the natural and built environment.

This year, 27 entries were judged in the following six categories: Large Development; Small Development; Adaptive Reuse: Large Scale; Adaptive Reuse: Small Scale; Hearth and Home; Lawn and Landscape; and Keep Durham Beautiful. The winners honored last week are as follows:

Adaptive Reuse, Large Scale

Keep Durham Beautify Executive Director Tania Dautlick was also given an award for outstanding dedication to the community. Poster boards with information on the winning projects are now on display in the lower lobby of City Hall until May 7, 2019.
