County’s New Economic Development Website Goes Live
User-friendly site offers resources for residents and companies

Durham, N.C. – On the heels of significant jobs and investment announcements, Durham County Government has launched a new Economic Development website. The website will be another critical venue for communicating the value that every economic partnership with Durham County brings to project participants, both current and prospective, as well as the residents of Durham.

The new website – found at www.dco-ed.com<http://www.dco-ed.com> – features resources and content that cover the spectrum of Economic Development investments and partnerships in which the County engages, all centrally-located and conveyed in a user-friendly format.

“The County’s Economic Development website allows us to tell our story while sharing a multitude of resources with residents and businesses alike,” said County Manager Wendell Davis. “Over the years, the County has made, and continues to make, investments and entered into partnerships critical to improving the economic well-being of Durham residents. Whether it be in business recruitment, infrastructure, small business support or workforce development, the County remains committed to supporting the pillars of our local economy. Through the website, we are afforded the opportunity to share that story as well as critical economic information with the Durham community and beyond.”

Visitors to the Durham County Economic Development website will find information on industries that sustain and grow the Durham economy, as well as the programming and efforts underway to better connect Durham residents to Durham jobs. Featured among the resources, the “Success Stories” highlight Durham County’s public-private partnerships from the American Tobacco Campus to Hub RTP as well as the Durham Small Business Recovery Fund that was established in response to the pandemic.

“We hope that the website will serve as a nexus for residents and stakeholders seeking a better understanding of our local economy and what Durham County Government is doing to maintain and grow our success” stated Economic Development Officer Andrew Miracle. “At the same time, businesses currently in Durham or those looking to locate here can also find resources and programming to their benefit as well. Through this platform, our intent is to serve and inform a broad audience by reflecting the many advantages that Durham has to offer.”
