I wanted to ensure that you have information on Hayti's 27th annual film
festival scheduled for *March 1 - 6*

The Hayti Heritage Film Festival (HHFF) hosted each year in Durham, NC,
is one of the nation’s longest-running Black film festivals. Since it’s
revamping in 2018, it has drawn record crowds from across the region,
and is well-positioned to become the region’s premier African American
film festival.

That said, we are excited to again host this year's film festival to
which we invite the entire Durham community to join us as we demonstrate
through film, our belief in the power of images and image-makers to
transform communities by:

1) Exposing people to artistic, informative, and innovative films by
African American filmmakers
2) Providing a platform for exhibition for these artists who oftentimes
struggle to get film distribution

It's sure to be a great time and particularly given the continued
pandemic. As such, we hope you'll share this programming opportunity
widely and that you will plan to join us by securing your tickets today at

https://haytiheritagefilmfest.eventive.org/welcome

where you'll also find trailers, schedules, film descriptions, and panel
discussion themes and times.

Also, as you will note and in response to one of the member's questions
this evening, the drive-in component will not be available for on-line
viewing given film licensing restrictions that allow only for drive-in
showings, exclusively.

In any case, I encourage you to share the film festival opportunity with
your respective list-serve subscribers and neighbors, and hope that you
will receive my and Hayti's sincere gratitude for your help in
amplifying not just the film festival, but the broader community
relevance and importance of Hayti Heritage Center.
