The Durham Workers Rights Commission, in partnership with the Durham Recovery and Renewal Taskforce, are embarking on a survey project to assess the impacts of COVID-19 on people who live and work in Durham. They have set a goal of 1,000 completed surveys of residents who live and work within the Durham county limits and they need your help. The survey will help them to identify the most important areas where resources from the County and City should be prioritized. Please note: All qualified respondents will be entered into a raffle where 20 people will win a $100 gift card. All responses will remain anonymous and will only be used to help inform the local response to COVID-19 by the Durham City Council and Durham County Board of Commissioners as well as summarized in a short report that will be made available to County and City officials and the public.



Following the survey period, they will also be hosting a virtual town hall in April to hear directly from Durham workers about their experiences navigating the pandemic, and what needs to be done to help Durham workers recover.



The survey takes less than ten minutes to complete and they need as many responses as possible to ensure that the voices of working people in Durham are heard. The survey will close on Sunday, April 11.
