Good morning everyone,

I wanted to share some information about a program to request free at-home
COVID testing kits. Unfortunately, the vast majority of program information
is English-only, and it requires some computer savvy to sign up. However,
I’m hoping this could still be a resource to at least some families who
need COVID tests and can’t get to a local testing site.

Information about the home testing program is available *in Spanish* via

At-home testing kits can be requested here

(website is English-only) and are shipped overnight via FedEx. The kit is
available to adults and parents/caretakers of children ages 2+. *The test
is free regardless of insurance status* as long as the person being tested
meets one or more of the following criteria:

·         Experiencing mild symptoms

·         Exposed to someone with COVID

·         Living or working in a congregate setting (e.g. a prison, a
residential care facility, etc.)

·         Advised to get tested by a healthcare professional, contact
tracer, or local health department

I imagine bilingual community health workers could assist people with
requesting tests. I speak Spanish and am happy to help submit people’s test

or send me a text at 919-614-1863. Note that individuals living in Lee,
Harnett, Haywood, Martin, Guilford, Alamance, Caswell, Randolph, &
Rockingham Counties can also contact local organizations for access to

·         Expuesto a alguien con COVID

·         Viviendo o trabajando en un lugar donde vive mucha gente, por
ejemplo una residencia de ancianos

·         Aconsejado a recibir una prueba por un profesional de salud

Pienso que los promotores de salud pueden ayudar a la gente a pedir
pruebas. También, hablo español y puedo ayudar a enviar pedidas de pruebas.
