Tune In to the July ‘In Touch with Durham County’ Show
Dr. Mehul Mankad joins us to discuss rising mental health challenges and how to get, receive help in our community

In this month’s episode<https://youtu.be/NXFILa2cd60>, host Deborah Craig-Ray, General Manager of Strategic Planning and Innovation, welcomes from Dr. Mehul Mankad, Psychiatrist and Chief Medical Officer for Alliance Health.

Dr. Mankad returns for the second time to “In Touch,” to talk to everyone about a serious issue in our community – rising mental health challenges from a myriad of causes. Whether it’s the now two-plus yearlong COVID-19 pandemic, economic challenges from that and rising inflation, job stress, recent gun violence, political and societal changes, or many other causes, addressing the growing epidemic of mental illness is a priority for everyone.

Craig-Ray and Dr. Mankad spend the entire show on this topic. They cover how to look out for each other, even with a simple “How are you?”, causes and expanding treatment options for mental health issues, and where to get confidential assistance today.
