Resident Feedback Period Extended for Final Durham County Transit Plan Report

Public hearing on report delayed by Board of Commissioners

Durham, N.C. - The final Durham County Transit Plan report<https://engagedurham.com/101/Durham-Transit-Plan> was released for public comment on December 15, 2022. It was previously announced that the public comment period would be through January 13, 2023, and a public hearing held on January 9, 2023. The County has decided to extend the public comment period and the partner agencies, which include the County, the Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC MPO), and GoTriangle, will reschedule the public hearing at a time to be announced.

Residents interested in reviewing the final plan document can do so at https://engagedurham.com/101/Durham-Transit-Plan.

The public comment period is open and comments will continue to be accepted until the public hearing is held. Feedback can be sent to: publicinformation at dchcmpo.org<mailto:publicinformation at dchcmpo.org>.

The public hearing on the final plan will be scheduled for a BOCC Regular Session meeting in the coming months. Meetings are held in person at 7 p.m. inside Commissioners Chambers, Administration I Building, 200 E. Main St. Residents may also attend via Zoom. The online link to meetings is announced the week prior to Board sessions.
