Savor and celebrate in the birthplace of the Piedmont Blues, featuring national, regional and local Blues from the mournful sounds of the Mississippi Delta to the finely fingers picking and rag-time exuberance of the Piedmont Blues. It is nationally recognized as one of the premier blues festivals in the country and has been honored with the “Keeping the Blues Alive Award” by The Blues Foundation in Memphis, TN. The festival has become one of North Carolina’s largest celebrations of the blues, recognizing Durham’s rich musical heritage as an important center of Carolina and Piedmont Blues.

Centerfest Arts Festival

As Durham’s signature arts festival, CenterFest showcases juried visual artists from across the country and fills multiple stages with stand-out local performers. Art shoppers are dazzled by world-class ceramics, paintings, photography, jewelry, fiber art, woodwork, glass, and more. Creators are based in Durham, the Triangle and across the country. CenterFest also features musicians, dancers and unique street performers to provide continuous entertainment. Kids will have a blast at the Creative Kids Zone, food vendors keep guests fueled for fun, and Durham’s nonprofit and government services sector inspire and inform festival goers. Full Frame Documentary Film Festival

> We wanted to share the news with you personally that Sadie Tillery is returning to Full Frame to lead the festival with Emily Foster. As co-heads, Emily and Sadie will set the vision for the festival and share the responsibilities of planning and executing the annual event. Full Frame will return to in-person programming in downtown Durham this spring.
>
> The 2024 festival will be produced as a partnership between CDS and Duke Venues and Performance Management (DVPM), the campus arm that handles planning, ticketing, and logistics for arts and other Duke events. Duke University and Full Frame shared a wider public announcement of this news earlier today.
>
> We look forward to sharing our early plans for the 2024 festival with you this fall. We are currently mapping pass and ticket options for the coming year. We anticipate changes to our First Team program, and we should have more information about attending the festival by early October.
>
> We are grateful for your support of Full Frame, and we look forward to being in touch in the weeks to come. In the meantime, please save the festival dates: Thursday, April 4, through Sunday, April 7, 2024.
