Hello, neighbors,


Thank you for all you’ve been doing for this election.  And, of course,
there is more – much more – to be done here in Durham.



Some of you know that I am passionate about the (non-partisan) work of
volunteer-led Bull City Votes <https://www.bullcityvotes.org/> and sibling
org., Durham Drives <https://www.durhamdrives.org/>.  Yes, we are the
people at the bus station, NCCU, etc. talking, driving, and advocating for
and with voters!



Bull City Votes plays a unique role in the election season ecosystem.  *We
focus on voters who have many barriers to voting and who are often not
reached by other groups.*  *We lovingly, creatively support these voters to
overcome those barriers:*  transportation, housing insecurity,
disabilities, language and reading, and the new voter ID law (which is
doing exactly what it was developed to do!) – so that they can exercise
their right to vote – and have their vote count!



This is one-voter-at-a-time work*.  We work from a place of being in
community with everyone in Durham -- it’s the Durham way!*  And it’s
inspiring to see the lengths these voters will go to to vote.

Join us.  *We need as many volunteers as possible between now and 8 pm on
Election Day.  *



*The equation is simple:  more volunteers = more Durhamites voting.   *

   *:*  Join us daily at the bus station from now through November 2. And,
   as we have in previous years, we will be going to high-foot-traffic areas
   in lower turn-out precincts to talk with and drive even more voters!
   Materials/training provided.  A shift for every schedule:  8 am through 8
   pm (wrap-up)!  This is also great preparation for the extravaganza known as
   Election Day!

   Election Day, 11/5, we will talk with, drive, and advocate for Every Single
   Voter we find in Durham!  Many volunteers will be at the bus station.  Some

   provided*.  And, yes, we’d love your support for as much of the day (7
   am – 8 pm) as possible!  Bring friends!
