To: MCIC Safety Committee

We are offering the following course at the 2012 EEHS School on Aug.
20-21, 2012.

I would appreciate any volunteers or suggestions of an instructor to
teach this course. Course is 1.25 hours.

OSH-7: NFPA Regulations on Flammable Liquids
How does OSHA's flammable liquid standards compare with NFPA's
flammable liquid standards? OSHA standard 1910.106 has not been kept
up to date by OSHA. NFPA 30, the source standard for OSHA's 1910.106,
is kept up to date and has numerous additional requirements not found
in 1910.106. These additional requirements include such issues as
placement of flammable liquid storage cabinets, flammable liquid
storage rooms, ventilating flammable liquid cabinets, containers of
flammable liquids, placement of emergency cut offs for fuel
dispensing units, etc.

Thanks

Jim
