INC NEWS - INC priority list 6-26-07

I think that next year it needs to be explicitly
stated to voting participants that they must put only
ONE dot by any listed priority. This way people can't
line up all five of their dots on one issue. Only the
former would give a TRUE, unweighted indication of the
priorities of the INC as a body.

I suspect, for instance, that the lady who came to the
INC meeting, solely to communicate and vote on
symphony funding and visibility, put all 5 of her dots
on this one item. No offense to this lady is intended,
as I'm sure we are all open to EVERY neighbors
concern/priorities, regardless of whether they are
regular attendees. I just don't think that their vote
(or anyone else's, for that matter) should be
weighted. (And I admit that I put more than one dot on
the mass grading issue, when I realized that others
were doing the same.)

Cheers,
Melissa
