  Emily Weinstein’s Last Event at 8 Blue Bottle Lane is being celebrated with the help of five non-profits.
  30% realized from the sale of any art or books will go to the group of your choice(s). There will be information on the non-profits as well as light refreshments, and there is no admission fee.  For more information please call (919) 402-0160.
   
  The following non-profits are participating:
  AnimalKind launched THE $20 FIX - a targeted financial assistance program serving low-income pet owners.
  Over 4400 pets have already been spayed or neutered for a client co-pay of $20 or less, and hundreds more
  have been approved for surgeries....www. AnimalKind.org
   
  Best Friend Pet Adoption is a foster home based not-for-profit operation that rescues cats and dogs from
  high-kill shelters, abuse and abandonment and places them in permanent and loving homes. To date, BFPA has
  rescued and placed in permanent homes over 2,500 cats and dogs. BFPA relies solely on donations and
  fundraising to support spay/ neuter and other medical treatment of the animals in our care...www.BFPA.org
   
  Coalition to Un-Chain Dogs is a group committed to freeing dogs from their chains by building fences, educating
  the community and passing legislation that will severely restrict or disallow the chaining of dogs. The
  Coalition is an all volunteer organization funded solely by private donations.....www.UnChainDogs.net
   
  The Durham Symphony Orchestra is composed of professionally trained volunteers. Throughout its history,
  the DSO's mission has been to foster the appreciation of music through the production of high-quality music
  for and by the residents of Durham and surrounding communities. The DSO also has an outreach program that
  seeks to introduce classical orchestral music to young people in the school system:www.DurhamSymphony.org
   
  Oak Grove Animal Sanctuary (OGAS) is an unusual sanctuary located in a large house with a full basement
  and outdoor fenced-in areas. OGAS provides a true home environment to many cats and kittens (and a few
  dogs). No one lives in a cage or kennel here. Entire feral colonies have been rescued from unsafe environments....
