Just a quick reminder that the 2010 Eagle Baseball Classic began today
at the Durham Athletic Park (DAP).  This link will take you directly to

O'Conner to Throw First Pitch Tomorrow
at NC Central's Opening Game at the DAP

   ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-Minor League Baseball President Pat O'Conner and
Durham, N.C., Mayor William V. "Bill" Bell will throw out ceremonial
first pitches tomorrow before North Carolina Central University's
opening home game at 1 p.m. against Iona College in the 2010 Eagle
Baseball Classic at Durham Athletic Park (DAP).  NC Central, which
hasn't had a place to play its home games since its baseball program was
brought back in 2006, is using the DAP as its home field during the 2010
season.  

   Minor League Baseball operates the DAP and utilizes it as a training
center for business and facility operations, as well as Durham city
events.  The facility is the former home of the Durham Bulls which was
made famous by the 1980s movie, "Bull Durham." 

   NC Central is also hosting Delaware State and the U.S. Naval Academy
during its three-day Classic.
