Public invited to share stories
Herald-Sun, 17 April 2010

The Pauli Murray Project presents "Our City, Our Stories," Community dialogues inviting diverse Durham stories Thursday at the Stanford L. Warren Library, 1201 Fayetteville St. from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The program will be repeated at the same time May 13 at the main library branch at 300 N. Roxboro St.

The public is invited to share their stories and enjoy free refreshments.

The Pauli Murray Project wants to give everyone the chance to tell their Durham stories and listen to those of others. The goal is to empower Durham's residents to see their "whole past," as the late Rev. Pauli Murray suggested in her book "Proud Shoes," not as something to hide, but as a powerful tool for shaping the future.
