The Durham Symphony will perform selected works from their recent classical concert including the 4th movement of Beethoven's 5th Symphony. Joining them on the program will be children from KidZNotes, a children's orchestra launched in September 2010 in East Durham, who will perform side-by-side with the Durham Symphony Orchestra on selected pieces. Special guests include the Durham Children's Choir. In addition to their ensemble work, KidZNotes and the Durham Children’s Choir will perform solo selections. 

An Instrument Petting Zoo courtesy of High Strung Violins & Guitars will be available 30 minutes before the concert starts and for 30 minutes after it ends. The Instrument Petting Zoo is a great opportunity for budding musicians of all ages to learn what it feels like to play a variety of stringed instruments.
