[Durham INC] Shiitake Mushrooms at Durham Roots Farmers Market

Thanks to all for your tremendous support for Durham County producers at 
the Durham Roots Farmer's Market at Northgate, Saturday from 8am to noon!

This week at the Durham Roots Farmer's Market at Northgate: Log-grown 
Shiitake 'shrooms from Dandies Farm, and did you know that Bull City 
Farm sells lard? Get there early before limited quantities sell out!

Vendors this week:

Architectural Trees (basil starts, more Ginkos, and cool landscape plants).

Bull City Farm (pork, lard, and eggs from free range animals)

Carolina Farmhouse Dairy (yogurt: I made a wonderful herb-based salad 
dressing from the plain)

Dandies Farm (Spring Kale, Green Leaf Lettuce, Green Summer Crisp 
Lettuce, Spinach Large Leaf, Rainbow Swiss Chard, Pac Choi, Radishes w/ 
greens, Turnip White Globe w/ greens, Turnip Purple Top Greens, Arugula, 
Shiitake Mushroom log grown).

Green Button Farm (pork and beef, sausage).

Prodigal Farm (Field of Creams, Hunkadora, Candide, Blue Chevrolait, 
chevre, marinated feta, feta crumbles)


The above lists are always subject to change, and some products are in 
short supply. Enter Northgate at the Gregson Street entrance near the 
theaters and you'll see the market on the right. Hours are 8am to noon 
on Saturday. For last minute information check out and like our Facebook

We love animals, but please -- no pets at the market (service animals OK)!
