[Durham INC] Frightly (Free!) zombie Fun 4 All ages Friday @ 13th Zombie Lurch, 5:30/6 - 8pm!

Start your spooky season soon(er) at the 13th annual Durham Zombie Lurch! This (terminal?) season of undead meandering happens this Friday Oct 25 from Brightleaf square. Revenants will muster 5:30 – 6:00 pm-ish, awards for best kid & adult zombie, followed by lurching down Durham’s byways to the ex-(termination) site at long-term partner Bull McCabes Pub. Details & links below. Spectator humans (fresh brains!) clearly welcome, along with revenants of all ages, types and sizes to join the Zombie Horde! It would be unlucky to miss this (final?) chapter of undeadly delight! Watch out….join us….if you dare!

ZOMBIE COSTUME CONTEST CATEGORIES:
1. BEST KID ZOMBIE (All ages up to 17 yrs)
2. BEST ADULT ZOMBIE or (group/theme of zombies)

******* LURCHING ROUTE INFO & INSTRUCTIONS *******

Start of staggering begins at @ 6:20-30 pm throughout parts of the classic route around Brightleaf, West Village and Main Street. TERMINATION at our traditional endpoint  <https://www.facebook.com/bullmccabesdnc/> Bull McCabes Irish Pub.

Directions of route to post shortly, but FYI it's all very level, paved and mostly very foot/wheel accessible (for those in strollers, wheelchairs and such). 

Weather or a stiff skeleton interfering? Direct bus route along Main street stops at both meeting point and directly across from Termination point for those who want to enjoy the pre-lurch and post-lurch fun, and get back to parking areas after the route. 

As always, we advise our undead to:

*Be visible (zombies eat better with numbers than stealth)
*Not pound store windows for food sources
(or we'll end up with too many hunters up in arms to thin the horde)
*Not distract victims on/behind wheels OR
*Lurch out in front of same at crossings - the
latter two leading to a messy night for squashed zombies 
(and incinerated humans don't make for as good eatin' as the raw ones). 

Also as always, everyone lurches at their own risk!! As noted, DPD are aware (and supportive) of Lurch route and activities. Keep the host population thriving, and stagger hungrily but responsibly.
